Average speed = 150 km/h?

Looks from Speed limits by country that the stated limit is 110 km/h on motorways. Is the average speed listed a design speed for sight distances and curvature? Willhsmit (talk) 18:09, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Maximal speed at Russia (due to Russian road traffic rules, official document similar to UK Highway Code - Правила дорожного движения, 10.3) - 110 kmh at highways.

Move to M11 motorway (Russia)

It seems to me that it is impractical to call it the Moscow-Saint Petersburg motorway as it is lengthy and a bit more confusing than calling the motorway the M11 motorway. I noticed that there is a page for the M11 motorway in England but we could move this article to the M11 motorway (Russia) to fit in with other Russian federal highways as well as make the article be more simple with the M11. In addition, the motorway is usually referred to as the M11 in recent citations and news outlets so I believe a move is practical. Opinions? - Josephua (talk) 14:09, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

Moscow–Saint Petersburg motorway → M11 motorway (Russia) – The M11 motorway (Russia) has a simpler name than Moscow-Saint Petersburg motorway as it is not composed of many characters and does not use a large dash. In addition, the motorway is not referred to by sources in the article as the Moscow-Saint Petersburg motorway, but instead, is referred to the M11 motorway, or the M11 expressway. @Amakuru: Part of fulfilling WP:NATURAL is that the article title is not a made-up name, as stated under natural disambiguation. The Moscow-Saint Petersburg motorway is a made up name, and sources instead either refer the motorway to the M11 or "the motorway between Moscow and Saint Petersburg" (there is a difference), but mainly sources use the former. When I searched in Google for sources using terms such as Moscow-Saint Petersburg motorway (also in Russian), not a lot of stuff (incl. news) pops up, but when I searched M11 Russia in Google, a lot of information came up, and I was able to find sources to update the article. - Josephua (talk) 18:45, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
