Talk:Mortician (band)

This band is awful, my edit of the band is justifiable.

edit

Unless someone can justify why the band isn't crap, the edits should stay. I was actually there at a band session and everything was actually said, the album titles are also an accurate depiction of the music. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hurrrrrf meatal (talkcontribs) 15:14, 27 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

Regardless of whether or not YOU think the band is crap, this is a website for informative purposes only, not band reviews and opinions. Why don't you go whine about it on a forum somewhere?

I find many bands utterly awful but I don't waste my time bashing them. As stated before, take this to a forum, don't place a bias review of the band on a website dedicated to solely information.

But it IS information. It informs people that the band are rubbish. The accounts from their Band meeting are true, I was there and it was posted on the wiki word for word.

Why are you editing Death Metal articles if you don't like Death Metal? Everyone has their own tastes and you need to stop being an asshole and kill yourself. FYI Berzerker doesn't use a drum machine, it's sped up samples. And Canibal Cropse is just noise mallgoths listen to because they think it's cool.

Ah yes, because I edit the page about Mortician, I dont like death metal! The fact you call Canibal Corpse music for mall-goths when defending Mortician is just... hilarious. Mortician sound like fat mallgoths making 'metal hurrr'. As for The Bezerker, drum machines use samples. Since the samples in question are being used for percussion, it doesn't mean much to argue they dont use a drum machine (it's kind of petty and pedantic really). But if you insist on a debate about the bezerker, they use live drums and samples live, and the live drumming is frequently praised for it's technical nature and almost world-record breaking speed.

If liking Mortician means you have taste in metal, then cut out my tongue! Hah.

wooo people know nothing about Mortician : firstly they are good of what they do. evidently all the people commenting are to scared to sign their names. and finally, it says in all their albums its done by a machine, or a session drummer. METALFREAK04 17:17, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Opinions have no place in wikipedia, the "most brutal band ever"?--Iron bob 21:23, 14 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackmetalbaz (talkcontribs) Reply

There really should be more information on this page. Why can't you stop arguimg and contribute to the page?CheesePiggy (talk) 07:29, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Brutally heavy riffs" not an objective descirption

edit

That's like saying a band has "excellent songwriting" and implying that it's factual. Everyone has their own definition of "brutal" and "heavy,"; there simply isn't an absolute truth to them. A better sentence might be, "They are mainly characterized by their use of primitive death metal motifs." This would be a more objetive description, since early second-wave death metal arrangements (i.e., even intervals of tremelo picking and straight-forward palm muted progressions) are what Mortician's music is primarily based off of. 65.69.141.90 00:54, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Clean-up

edit

I've done a spot of clean-up, including trying to remove the POV concerning their 'brutally heavy riffs'. One big problem at the moment is the list of movies sampled... my feeling that this is listcruft and should be removed as per WP:LC and WP:NOT.
