Murders edit

Why are references to safety in this park being removed? Two college students have been murdered here in last two years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allaheadfull (talkcontribs) 14:18, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Photos edit

The photos are woefully inadequate. Doesn't anybody have a camera?

I provided some of them, later. What I would like to find is any remnant of Block House #2, apparently at about 40°48′38″N 73°57′23.5″W / 40.81056°N 73.956528°W / 40.81056; -73.956528. Jim.henderson (talk) 01:15, 2 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

There’s a new sculpture as of last year, Reclining Liberty. Wiggly Johnson (talk) 12:45, 5 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not sure if any of these subjects deserve standalone entries or not, but I've gone ahead and redirected the following to this article:

About killing edit

Why is considered wrong or incorrect to write and edit the fact that the killer of Davide Giri and Tessa Mayor was african-american? all journals wrote about him, so why we have to hide the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.44.198.37 (talk) 18:19, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please take a look at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view#Due and undue weight. While it may be correct that both killers were African-American, that is not pertinent to the article. In particular, we only consider including this fact if there is a reliable source that specifically describes the importance of the race of both killers. Furthermore, the inclusion of race is questionable in the first place, as it doesn't help the reader understand the subject (the park) at all. – Epicgenius (talk) 21:03, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Even when Floyd was killed the race wasn't important but all media stated that the policeman was a white racist (and this is false), the fact is that when a black man committed a crime all people want to hide or minimize because can be "racist" to accuse a black person for is guilt. There is not any difference between the killing of Floyd and Davide Giri. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.50.37.57 (talk) 07:31, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

How news media reported the killing of Floyd has no bearing whatever on whether particular information does or doesn't contribute to a reader's understanding about this park. Get it? JBW (talk) 10:35, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Get it? If you report in this wikipage the murder of Tessa Mayor and Davide Giri you can specify that they were killed by a black man, there is nothing wrong to say this. Don't try to change argument, we all know why Floyd has a wikipage and he's (uncorrectly) santified, instead Giri or Mayor has nothing. Stop excuses. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.50.37.57 (talk) 10:58, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
