Concerts

Hi,

I see that the concerts section is not exhaustive. Will it be acceptable if I gather as much information about the different concerts and then add the concerts that we know of that have been left out.

Additionally, as this is a music band and we can see what they have done through KCTV broadcasts, is it sufficient to source information from videos of concerts/ interviews that are recorded and broadcast by KCTV but available on YouTube? I don't see why not - it is the most reliable place to access information. If we have dated videos I see no problem.

Members selected by Kim Jong Un

Hi, I have concerns about these 4 sources in the introductory paragraph: "... is an all-female music group in North Korea whose original members were selected by the country's supreme leader Kim Jong-un.[2][3][4][5]".

But there are actually two different claims being made here. A) that Kim Jong Un created the band himself, B) that Kim selected the original members. Claim A is made by sources 3 and 4, but they don't provide a source of their own. Claim B is made in the wiki article yet none of the four linked references claim this. I move to delete this sentence from the article unless evidence can be found. Since claim A is not backed by evidence in the articles, I also disagree to editing the sentence to fit what the articles say -- the issue is that none of the four sources can be used for this particular claim.

Claim B is made by source 3, but it starts off, "North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly put together his own all-girl pop band". It seems to be a rumour. If it was true you would expect North Korean sources to say that. Lots of things that happen in North Korea are ascribed to Kim himself, so I don't think assertions like this hold much weight. The debut is not Disney.
