Proposed move

Per Encyclopedia Brittannica, numerous Google hits and most importantly, WP:NCGN#Use_English, I propose to move the article to the still-commonly used English name, Montreal Botanical Garden. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 23:15, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

  • That's what I first thought, too. But Google hits reveal that the English common name -- including Encyclopedia. Britannica -- is indeed singular, as in the French where its Jardin and not Les Jardins... Shawn in Montreal (talk) 13:37, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Contribution day on the theme of the botanical garden

Hello,

As part of the Wikipedia:Contribution Month in Canada with the Friends of the Botanical Garden, I would like to organize a half-day contribution on the theme of the garden. This would also initiate the Friends of the Garden to editing Wikipedia.

I was thinking of doing it on a Friday afternoon or in the library garden, or in a room which would be more appropriate, at the discretion of management (to be determined). If you are interested to join us, please come here!

Wrong caption under picture

The picture captioned 'The main greenhouse near the entrance' shows the administration building, not the greenhouses. The actual greenhouses are behind this building. Pierre-Dufresne (talk) 21:57, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
