Notes about sources

edit

The NRHP nomination document (with photos) was expected myself and the tool at http://elkman.net/nrhp/ to be available at the National Park Service, and to be properly referenced by something like the following citation: [1]

But, hmm, this is a slightly complicated situation; the cabin was listed as part of a multiple property submission document ("National Forest Fire Lookouts in the Southwestern Region TR", given NRHP reference number 64000046), which is not immediately available. https://npgallery.nps.gov/NRHP/GetAsset/NRHP/87002468_text, the expected location for a separate NRHP nomination for it, is empty. https://npgallery.nps.gov/NRHP/GetAsset/NRHP/87002468_photos, the expected location for photos that accompany (and indeed are part of) the NRHP nomination, does have photos.

The multiple property submission document was probably available in the past at http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NRHP/Text/64000046.pdf, but is no longer. Trying instead at NARA, by searching on "64000046" or on the title, I find it is now (and permanently) located there, at https://catalog.archives.gov/id/75609252, and I downloaded it and saved a copy. It has 276 pages and downloaded slowly for me.

Here's a reference for the MPS:[2]

Here's a reference for the Monte Vista Lookout Cabin photos (which BTW uses the NRHP refnum of its listing): [3]
