Molino Dam historical marker

The dam is named "Molino Dam" according to the marker installed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. Where is this "Prinza Dam"? And why should we not use the official historical site name for this dam?--RioHondo (talk) 08:06, 15 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@RioHondo: According to the Bacoor government's website, it is Prinza Dam. But apparently, "Molino Dam" is different there. That's weird. Pandakekok9 (talk) 10:01, 17 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Different where? This is still the same country? I usually don't depend on local government to tell us anything about history because they are the least reliable when it comes to the study of places and history behind our old heritage. Aside from the historical marker installed at the site, there are plenty of references to "Molino Dam" in history books, as the old dam built to irrigate the old San Juan de Imus hacienda of the Recollects, which was so named because of the presence of a windmill. Over time, Molino lost Bayanan and San Nicolas which formed their own barrios. That's how Molino dam got its name. Whereas this "Prinza Dam", theres not even a reference of it being in Bacoor in google books, the only mentions i see of this "Prinza dam" are those in Calamba and General Trias. This name is not only inaccurate, it even fails the basic WP:COMMONNAME criteria. This article has got to be moved back to its old, official and common name of Molino Dam.--RioHondo (talk) 14:43, 17 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
