Republic Airways ownership edit

The article says Republic Airways is 90%. I've done quite a bit of work on Republic Airways and I don't see such a high figure. The closest I can find is http://www.mokuleleairlines.com/FINALMokuleleRecapPR.pdf which puts it at 50% in March 2009. Republic of late has been acquiring control of cash strapped airlines so it's possible. But any event it needs a citation. Americasroof (talk) 16:17, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

It was upped to 89% (the article stated "just under 90%") in July 2009: http://www.starbulletin.com/business/20090731_Republic_Air_increases_its_stake_in_Mokulele.html. I've updated the article and added the source. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 17:07, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your quick reply. I will update the Republic article. Thanks again! Americasroof (talk) 17:19, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I never quite undestand the deals but it looks like they then sold their share in October 2009. http://www.alacrastore.com/storecontent/Thomson_M&A/Mesa_Air_Group_Inc_acquires_Mokulele_Flight_Service_Inc_from_Wexford_Capital_LLC-2120807020 I don't see Mokulele listed on the Republic Airlines site.Americasroof (talk) 19:03, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
That's the Go! Mokulele joint venture, of which Mesa owns 75% and Republic along with other Mokulele shareholders own 25%. I'm not really sure what it all means in terms of who owns what of Mokulele itself. The certificate certainly still exists; Go! Mokulele's Cessna 208 flights are operated by Mokulele Airlines while the CRJ flights are operated by Mesa Airlines. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 22:47, 12 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fleet vs. Photo edit

So I was just wondering; if Moklele Airways has a fleet of 4 CE-Caravans, why is there a photo of an EMB-170 in the article? Should there really be a photo of one of their Caravans? Or maybe even all of their Caravans? This seems a little propaganda-istic, if ya know what I mean. Maybe I need some further explanation. --XB70Valyrie (talk) 03:36, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

As noted in the article, the E170 was from 2009-2009 when Republic held a stake on Mokulele and sent some jets to Hawaii to operate as Mokulele. I just found a photo of one of the Caravans and added it to the article. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 04:01, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
