-No copyright violation. http://history.docuwat.ch/videos/africa/ethiopias-golden-years- is actually a copy of a wikipedia article. I used a paragraph from History of Ethiopia as a starting point for writing this article. It just so happens this website has copied that material before. -- አቤል ዳዊት (talk) 14:33, 18 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Regnal Ge'ez name edit

It is not correct to write "Selassie" by itself for the regnnal name, because Selassie is NOT a "surname", it is a Ge'ez compound name and is therefore properly indexed under H, not S. Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 15:15, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've changed the usage as you suggest, thanks. But there's been a lot of to-and-fro addition and reversion of maintenance tags and referenced content, along with baby-with-the-bathwater removal in the process, of perfectly correct internal links that I added. Til Eulenspiegel, what is your objection to the paragraph about slavery? Altered Walter (talk) 15:48, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Regarding the removed citation that you asked about (in an edit summary), two refs were deadlinked, so I removed both the refs and one assertion that was supported only by one of the deadlinks. I can add it back if you like, or I can point you at the diff prior to its removal. Altered Walter (talk) 15:50, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Impatience for Cites edit

This is the impatient attitude I am talking about.

AlteredWalter tagged the following paragraph I had written as follows:

Despite all this, Mussolini's propaganda agents[who?] were constantly broadcasting to the world many false reports that slavery was still being promoted in Ethiopia, in an attempt to influence world opinion against Ethiopia, have Ethiopia indicted in the League of Nations, and create a casus belli for the invasion, genocide, and attempted recolonization of Ethiopia with Italians[citation needed] .

I had cites to back up this paragraph, but by the time I had found them about 5 minutes later, the paragraph was already removed. SLOW DOWN. I would like that pargraph replaced so that I can add the cites as requested. Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 15:51, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good: please do restore the paragraph with cites, and let's take it from there. Altered Walter (talk) 15:55, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
But please don't remove the referenced content that I added. Thanks, Altered Walter (talk) 15:58, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
