Mobisode origins

Can you document the origin of this: I was under the impression that Vodafone coined the term and Fox glommed it when they signed a deal with Vodafone.

Actually, I invented the term mobisode when I launched the 24 series with Vodafone, Aileen Thompson who runs corporate communications as well as many others at FOX and Vodafone can verify this.

I will remind Daniel Tibbets directly who has tried to take the credit before.

The Wikipedia article for Daniel Tibbets claims credit for coining the term. Without a decent citation this fact remains disputed. This word definition of a trademark is not notable enough for an encyclopedia, it should be in Wikitionary if at all. -- Horkana (talk) 18:17, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Merge with webisode?

Horror Mobisode?

The section on the first "horror" mobisode is out of place in an entry on mobisodes in general. It is irrelevant to know what the first mobisode in a particular genre is unless several different genres are given. Standing alone, it reads like an advertisement for that mobisode. If the mobisode is significant to the development of the form for some reason other than just being the first in its genre, then the entry should be reworded to reflect this. I agree. This article should not be list of all the different short clips out there each claiming to be the first of their genre or somehow more notable than the other. Leaving the text here in case someone can justify reincluding it. -- Horkana (talk) 18:46, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

The world's first made for mobile horror series was When Evil Calls. Composed of twenty two-minute Mobisodes the series marks the first time 'named' actors had been attached to such a venture. The series included Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers), Dominique Pinon (Amelie), Jennifer Lim (Hostel) and Chris Barrie (Red Dwarf) as well as Pierce Brosnan's son Sean and Ray Winstone's daughter Lois. It was directed by horror specialist Johannes Roberts (Forest of the Damned / Demonic) and produced by Zone horror and Pure Grass films.
