Mobile QR - IP

Hi all,

I'd like to propose the following addition that I think is relevant as this invention being judged as one of the six most likely to have the biggest impact on the mobile industry over the next ten years at this year's Mobile World Congress.

Does anyone have objections, observations or ideally improvements please?

On the 13th of June 2012 a British company Ensygnia Ltd was granted a patent by the UK patent office which covered usage of a visual cryptogram for a range of actions including registration, log-in, payment authorisation and shopping.

Your recent addition of Ensygnia contains no encyclopedic content. This company owns patents, which may be appropriate for the company's article, but what do any of them have to do with mobile payments? What is the significance? Can you explain why the leading companies in this space - along with associated IP are not notable or encyclopaedic? This is a landmark patent within the space of QR payments. The industry considers it & the company to be of note in this space, so surely someone reading about QR payments will consider it to be of note also. When Lorienandrew removed the content originally the only complaint was it was not referenced. It was then suitably referenced to industry leading publications. The satisfies weight criteria. If you view the language as puffery - which ok, it could be improved, it would be more constructive to edit the language to be more neutral. The relevance can be clearly understood by anyone who is an expert in this field and is exactly the sort of encyclopaedic information they would be interested in.
