Possible confusion

I think there is room for confusion regarding what network the transaction uses. Is it the mobile device network (a cellular network) or is in the retailer's EFT terminal's network. On a bit of a tangent the latter can be/has been implemented as a chip, independent of the device, simply stored behind the batter cover of the device (i.e. phone)... which to me is simply a more convenient smart card.

Digital wallet table

I feel that this should be linked to the digital wallet article. The digital wallet article is currently operating on a very narrow definition of "digital wallet" that doesn't include smartphone technologies like NFC. The terms "mobile wallet" and "wallet phone" aka Osaifu-Keitai should also be mentioned.

I am working on a table that attempts to list all the different digital wallet smartphone technologies from around the world. Mobile payment systems and applications are listed in the table. Could wikipedia benefit from this, perhaps? Here is an article that provides a nice overview of the nascent digital/mobile wallet field: http://www.readwriteweb.com/mobile/2011/03/nfc-in-2011-whos-building-your-mobile-wallet.php --142.151.170.148 (talk) 21:01, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Commercial entities / spam

There is a list I created of 'notable' entities in this space - the modality I was thinking of is if it merits a wikipedia article, it can be added to the list. Any thoughts on how to prevent over-commercialization, or is linking internally to other wikipedia articles sufficient to establish notability (and let other editors fight over notability of those individual companies/products). Thoughts from other editors welcomed. --Karl.brown (talk) 16:57, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

It looks like someone else is thinking along the same lines I am. I don't see that there is a way, so I'm just going to delete it. If they are so important to the topic, they can be integrated in the prose. -Rrius (talk) 06:35, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Suggested additional vendor for this: Sybase - Sybase bought paybox in Dec. 2008. paybox's technology has been behind a number of commercial deployments and trials of mpayments. paybox Austria (since 2001), mpass Germany, Celcom Malaysia, etc. Their mobile division Sybase 365 also provided PSMS and WAP billing services. I am posting in the discussion page as I work for this vendor and so have a clear conflict of interest. --Diarmuidmallon —Preceding undated comment added 09:51, 7 October 2009 (UTC).

Hi, I would like to know who wrote this article. I'd like to ask a few questions regarding mobile wallet through USSD method. I'm doing this for my final assignment and would like to know why it is regarded to have poor security. Thanks in advance! 125.163.64.99 (talk) 03:17, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Payout rate

No definition given for payout rate, and I'm too stypid to figure it out.--Pawyilee (talk) 10:07, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
