Talk:Mobile identification number

Comments

edit

The article seems to be describing MDN (mobile device number), which is the phone number one would dial. MINs are used to route calls, and are more analogous to a subscriber id. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.40.111.98 (talk) 19:41, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

MIN sometimes same as phone number and sometimes not

edit

If you port your number from one carrier to another, the MIN is changed.[1] Also, if you get a used phone, the MIN could be the old number of the line associated with the phone. Heyzeuss (talk) 02:11, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
