Not born in Switzerland edit

Untitled edit

He was not born in Switzerland, he was born in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina and raised to a Croatian family in Dubrave(village in proximity of Brčko). Brčko alone is very close to Croatian border and in 1991 more than 25% of population was Croatian with today this being about 20%(estimate). He then fled with his family to Vinkovci in Croatia because of the war and since Vinkovci were also under heavy fire he and his family moved to Switzerland. There he started to play football as a kid and became pro. He has dual Croatian and Swiss citizenship.

-- If they moved "due to war" to Switzerland, how could he play from 1986 for an Swiss Club in his youth? I mean the war in Bosnia startet in 1992.... --Udgard (talk) 08:49, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Best Known? edit

I would debate the opening line "Best known for his goal that prevented England from going to the European Championships". This would be only be true if you were English becasue most English fans haven't a clue what goes on outside of England. He is best known for his fantastic scoring record across the whole qualifying campaign. Also it's not possible to determine what a person is most famous for as that is purely personal opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.8.9.240 (talk) 23:09, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Early life edit

I think this whole part of the article should be rewritten. There arent any sources. And as i said before, it is not possible that he played for a Swiss youth team since 1986, if his family moved first to Vinkovci than due to war to Switzerland. War begun in BiH in 1992, in Croatia 1991, and he obviously, lived in Switzerland since 1986, or even earlier. --Udgard (talk) 08:55, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Goalkeeper" edit

Couldn't the match he played as a goalkeeper (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvA9QyeDhV0) be mentioned? Other outfields players that had the opportunity of playing as a GK for a match have this mentioned on their wiki page (Rio Ferdinand, John O'Shea). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.18.79.32 (talk) 01:50, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
