The picture

The picture on this page is mildly disturbing...anyone else notice it's of her dead in her casket? As such I think it's tasteless and so I'm removing it...even though I'm sure someone will disagree with me. Mana Excalibur 22:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Comment: this is a picture of Mitoyo Kawate when she was still living. It's the only photo the AP released. However, there is another photo in the book "Wisdom of the World's Oldest People" by Jerry Friedman. That one is copyright, however.Ryoung122 13:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Kawate did not look bad for her age, think about it: what will you look like when you are 114, if you even get to it?
