Merge pages as the result of the merger of the law schoolsedit

As was initially brought up at the helpdesk these schools have merged. After looking at both pages there didn't appear to be a clean way to merge one page into the other, so as a result, a new target was created. Merging the two articles would be recentism. Hamline has 43 years of history that shouldn't be confused with the history of Mitchell. Since Mitchell is the larger and older school, and is being used as the physical campus of the merged school, I would move the Mitchell article to this title. Mitchell and Mitchell Hamline can be covered well by a combined article, and the Hamline article can be updated to reflect that it no longer exists. Toohool (talk) 03:05, 23 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

This article was useful, because after reviewing the amazing absence of information, and coming to the talk page, I learned about the term "recentism," which itself is a recent, made-up word popular among Wikipedia editors. It also taught me about uploading images (eye roll emoji in this case), and about using bing.com to search for free licenses for images (I ultimately ran out of caring). But it didn't teach me anything about Mitchel Hamline School of Law.

I work at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, so I won't make any edits, but I'd like to raise the issue again of merging the William Mitchell College of Law page and the Hamline University School of Law page into the Mitchell Hamline page. It's been said this would be recentism, but as it stands now both the William Mitchell pages and Hamline pages contain incorrect information. Neither school exists. The information on their pages regarding websites and deans is incorrect. Could historical information about both schools be wrapped into the newer Mitchell Hamline page?
