Missiyamma vs Missamma
editThis film Missiyamma should not be confused with Telugu Missamma.
Though the story is the same, both are two different films shot separately with different cast. Some artistes appeared in both films. But their dress and body language were not the same. Some people refer both as two versions of the same film. It can only be said of dubbed films with the cast remaining the same. This film does not fall into that category. Both the films were released almost simultaneously, the Tamil film was delayed by 2 days only to coincide with the Tamil National festival Pongal on 14 Janurary, 1955.
There is no base to decide that the Telugu film Missamma is the main language film except that the producers were Telugu people. But they were living in Madras and the studios where the Telugu and Tamil films were produced is in Madras. Therefore, if at all the admins have to decide on a main language, Tamil should be the main language of the films.
Some information about the Tamil film is mentioned in the article Missamma but that is incomplete. In the past, I have looked for information about the Tamil film Missiyamma but could not find. Hence, I created this article today for the benefit of those who are looking for information on the Tamil Missiyamma. It is not done to undermine the article on the Telugu film. Thank you for your understanding. --Uksharma3 (talk) 13:12, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

@Kailash29792: In the revised Sound track list, the two songs sung by K. Sarangkapani are not included.- Uksharma3 (talk) 13:45, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
- I am aware of the fact that Sarangkapani was not credited for his work as a playback singer. The tracklist on Saavn does not mention his name either, so what are the two songs sir? I could mention them in the soundtrack section (but not in the tracklist, as we must stick to the Saavn source). Kailash29792 (talk) 13:59, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
