Belize

Please take Belize off the list. She was crowned MISS BELIZE WORLD 2008 (so her sash says), to compete in Miss World; without any connections to Miss Universe. But shouldn't Miss Universe Belize 08 Tanisha Vernon represent as Miss Belize in this year's pageant? Remember how she spoke out about the wrongdoing of her national director. Namibia

Marelize Robberts will not represent Namibia in Miss Universe. The Miss Namibia 2009 pageant is scheduled to take place the first weekend of June 2009, before Miss Universe takes place. No Luxembourg...

Iraq will not compete in Miss Universe this year and may send a delegate in 2010.

Afghanistan

I don't think Miss Afghanistan will compete because Miss Universe license stipulates that a contest should be held in the National Territory that the country intends to represent and that is the case with Spain and Germany who are holding their National Pageants outside of their soil.

Miss Sweden cancelled swimsuits from their National Pageant so they lost the Miss Universe franchise

Miss Iraq 2007 and 2008 didn't qualify because the 2007 Miss Iraq pageant was held in Turkey and Miss Iraq 2008 was held in France.

Kazakhstan, Antigua & Barbuda and Denmark withdraw from Miss Universe 2009.

Now is confirmed: That Olga Nikitina of Kazakhstan will not compete in Miss Universe 2009! The nation will compete only in Miss World 2009 on December 12, 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa... The news comes from the Miss Universe site, where she isn't between the contestants!! Antigua & Barbuda and Denamrk won't compete for the same thing that happened at the Miss Marianas Universe's Miss Sorena Maratita..Will withdraw Sri Lanka and Trinidad & Tobago,due to an absence of sponsorship.
