New Formatting edit

Okay, so, here's a new layout idea. The assorted incarnations of G1 Mirage are the only real trouble the page is having, so, I have come up with this - a "master heading," if you will, for "G1 Mirage." Within this are assorted subsections for all the versions of "Mirage" intended to be the same, G1 Character, separated out by toyline - his original "Generation 1" toy (with sub-sections for this incarnation's appearances in the animated series, the Marvel Comics and the Dreamwave comics), his "Generation 2" Go-Bot toy, his "Machine Wars" toy, his "Robot Masters" toy and his "Alternators" toy. This combines different users desires to keep the different versions of the same character under the same section, but also allows for each sub-section/incarnation to be separated out more distinctly.

Beyond this large "G1 Mirage" section, the rest of the page is the same - sections for the BM character, the two RiD Mirages, the Armada/Cybertron character, the Universe Mirages, and the Energon Mirage. - Chris McFeely, 18th April, 19.22pm

Fair use rationale for Image:Autobot logo s.jpg edit

Image:Autobot logo s.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Loyalty vs. Crush edit

I don't feel that Energon (animated series) Mirage's loyalty can be compared to that of Beast Wars Inferno. While Inferno had what was bordering on a fanatical but platonic devotion to his leader, Mirage had a very clear romantic attraction to Megatron and expressed it several times in the show. I think that aspect of his personality should be left in, as it explains his motivations beyond simple minion loyalty. There are very few ways that a glowing pink heart can be misinterpreted. Squidjet 19:23, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

All right, that one'll work. The romance aspect was really only explicitly stated in the Japanese, anyway. Squidjet 02:06, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Two movie Mirages? I don't think so. edit

As we have no proof they are seperate characters (different colors and an updated car mode are not proof), I think we have to roll them together, and just say the card game version was an early take on the character. After all, there are different color and alt modes for G1 Mirage, we don't give them all seperate entires. Mathewignash (talk) 16:40, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

What proof do you have that the card game version was an early take on the character? Also, it's separate entries, NOT "seperate entires." - Areaseven (talk) 03:36, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have no proof, but we don't assume every appearance of a character is a new character. We know they are both Mirage from the Bayverse. When G1 Mirage appeares different in Marvel comics and IDW comics, we don't call him a new character. Mathewignash (talk) 04:01, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
