POV
"In March 2006, an additional 2,500 acres were added to the Preserve as a result of action by a citizen's conservation group."
This comment covers up the fact that this supposed citizen's conservation group's actions were an attempt to build condos on land they said they were trying to preserve in a natural state. The state then siezed the land in order to actually make it into a preserve.
No, your facts are mainly wrong. You are right that the wording gives a little too much credit to the citizen's conservation group. I've fixed that.
But you seem to be confusing that group (really more than one group) with a real estate partnership that planned to develop the property.
Here is a reasonably accurate account of what happened: [1] Calamitybrook (talk) 19:46, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
I added information about the history of swimming in the Preserve. --StephieMachacek (talk) 16:05, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- Am tempted to propose removal of swimming section. There are many forms of recreation that are banned or severely regulated in park. Why is swimming especially significant? I'll probably leave it and maybe add section on the regulators' severely restrictive "Master Plan" of 2009.

While it is true many activities are not allowed in the preserve, the constant battle over swimming is the one that receives the most attention in the local press, and among the reoccurring visitors to the park. This is why I felt it important enough to be included in the article. (talk) --StephieMachacek (talk) 00:05, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
