Ministry for Culture and Heritage (New Zealand)Ministry for Culture and Heritage — no need for disambiguation Adabow (talk) 10:07, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Support - the proposed name has been a redirect to the current name since April 2009. Schwede66 10:34, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, per Adabow (no need to disambig) and Schwede66 (proposed title already redirects here). TFOWRpropaganda 11:41, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Question. Oman has a Ministry of Heritage and Culture. No article exists for this ministry yet (Ministry of Heritage and Culture), so this is more of a hypothetical question for the future. What if an article for the Oman ministry is created? Is the "of" vs. "for" difference in the two names a sufficient disambiguation? Good Ol’factory (talk) 03:10, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
If it's just two articles where confusion may exist, but the names are different (as they will be with 'of' and 'for', apart from the order of words, of course), then the way to do it is via a hatnote. Schwede66 03:27, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, that's helpful. Good Ol’factory (talk) 03:39, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. By the way, I have no problem with supporting this move. Good Ol’factory (talk) 03:39, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Support if no other Wikipedia article exists whose primary name is "Ministry for Culture and Heritage". --Polaron | Talk 14:43, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removed content from article edit

I have removed the following content from the article:

We work to enrich the lives of all New Zealanders by supporting our dynamic culture and preserving our heritage. We support many of New Zealand’s arts, media, heritage and sports organisations; advise government on cultural matters and provide research and resources for everyone to access. The organisations we fund deliver a wide range of cultural experiences for all to enjoy.

That's a copyviolation of content from the Ministry's website (it was added by an anon). Apart from the copyviolation, this is an encyclopedia, so the content needs to be accordingly. The article is not there as a copy of the Ministry's website. Schwede66 02:14, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
