Talk:Miniflex

Miniflex is also a UK company trading globally that produces products that relate to Optical Fiber in much the same way as Corning's do.

We're concerned that not having a stub, and having Miniflex just link to the X-Ray machine may create confusion for both people that use and understand our products and those that just use the Miniflex X-Ray system.

A proposed stub is below, can we have your thoughts please?

Miniflex

Miniflex design and manufacture optical fibre products for the growing markets of fibre deployment within FTTx, Telecommunications, Datacoms and Transport industries. The company trades under the name m2fx[1].

Miniflex is located in Suffolk, UK with offices in the United States.

The Miniflex portfolio includes a range of robust fibre microcables, ducts and pushable fibre optic connectors that are designed to reduced the installation costs of the last 1000m of fibre installation in markets such as Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH).

History

Miniflex Ltd. was formed in 1994 by Tony Stockman and Peter Jenkins primarily as a research and development company, specialising in the development of optical fibre access networks. Peter Jenkins is a former employee of British Telecoms (BT) where he was responsible for development of the BT Access Network.

Miniflex moved from R&D into manufacturing its own products in 2005.

In 2010 Linneaus Capital Partners invested in the company leading to expansion the business and the opening of the first US office[2].

In 2011 the company rebranded itself as m2fx.

In 2013 the company celebrated its 25,000th Fibre-to-the-home installation [3].
