"The machina pyraulica, invented by Thomas Newcomen in 1712, is considered the first water-independent dewatering machine." I have no idea what this means, it clearly wasn't water-independent if it ran on steam. I also changed "It is also the first usable steam engine to operate in a mine.", as it seems to be implying that the engine operated from within the mines, which it of course didn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.139.65.68 (talk) 11:06, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
