Learning edit

Learning about editing for a class, so I'm sure I'll make mistakes. I found the article very useful, though noted and requested citations for a number of lines. --PeteLambert (talk) 04:56, 9 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mimulus guttatus in the ‘Species of Mimulus sensu stricto’ category edit

I'm not sure if I want to actually edit things that much when the edits are regarding taxonomic matters but it seems to me this may be incorrect and inconsistent with itself and with other related Wikipedia pages. Mimulus guttatus appears to be one of the many species which, as mentioned in this page, has been reclassified as forming part of a different genus: specifically it has been placed in Erythranthe as Erythranthe guttata. It seems incorrect to list it in this section (particularly when the heading takes pains to indicate that it is a sensu stricto listing). Indeed, the link to Mimulus guttatus actually redirects to the Erythranthe guttata page which also refers to the reclassification (so an inconsistency exists between the descriptions in the two pages: the Mimulus page and the Erythranthe guttata page). While I do understand that many are unhappy with this reclassification (see http://10.1126/science.365.6456.854), making the category be sensu stricto would seem to force it.
