  •   Hi @Schminnte:, welcome to DYK. Article is long and new enough, but I have a couple minor issues with referencing:
  • First sentence/paragraph in "Guido's excavations" has no inline citations.
  • The naming after the nearby hamlet also has no citations. If it's "obvious", but there's no written source explicitly saying that, I'd say remove that half-sentence.
Otherwise, no copyvio detected, and the original hook sounds good (will probably get readers to think "what's a crannog?"). Juxlos (talk) 15:22, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks @Juxlos:, I've fixed those issues you noticed. Thanks very much for your feedback. Schminnte (talk) 16:51, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
good to go then. Juxlos (talk) 00:32, 8 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Schminnte and Juxlos:   Hi there! Article looks good :) Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'd say the first hook is up to snuff – the first simply says that someone mistakenly thought an island was man-made, and I generally find that when users don't understand a hook, they don't stick around for very long. The second hook is okay, but could something else be found? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 05:22, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Theleekycauldron:, I've added a new hook and updated ALT1. As for the first hook, I personally prefer ALT1 anyway. Schminnte (talk) 10:29, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
  I've added an ALT2a – I'll tick both as cited and interesting. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 23:58, 16 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
