Ratings

edit

The information on the ratings for Yarwood's 1977 Christmas Show is inaccurate, although it appears in several sites. The only verified figure, from the British Film Institute, is 21.40 million. See here [1] --Stevouk (talk) 16:45, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mike Yarwood at Bredbury#Local people

edit

There is an extended description of Yarwood at the above article. I think it would be better if the main body was here, and Bredbury was left with a single sentence. This would avoid duplication and the need to edit the same material twice; editors (eg) here might not know of the other's existence. Mr Stephen 10:37, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pursued a professional career

edit

This article says that in his youth, Yarwood was a talented footballer and then goes on to say "and almost pursued a professional career". It might make this article clearer if this says a professional career in football. Vorbee (talk) 18:14, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Morecambe and Wise actually 'started their career' in broadcasting terms at the BBC, not ITV; so did Dick Emery; so did Barker and Corbett. The insinuation seems to be that the BBC took over ITV acts. They did not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.149.93.133 (talk) 16:22, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Edits

edit

Please someone explain as to why my edits were removed? I am curator of the Mike Yarwood Museum and would like someone to explain as to why my edits were not accepted? AlfordLithe (talk) 06:11, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
