Short bio

This has to be the shortest bio that wikopedia has ever included. Is there no other info available about Mike?(63.3.67.133 01:05, 23 December 2006 (UTC))Reply

Forgive me if I don't understand-- if his death was not released to the public until the following week how can date of death be posted as being Dec. 22, 2006--IMDB has not posted his date of death as of today Dec. 23 2006. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.7.200.141 (talkcontribs)

He died on the 14th, but some editors mistakenly assume he died the day the article came out. Jokestress 03:57, 24 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry about the sad news, I just watched an episode of "All in the Family" and looked information about Mike Evans. --Lalli 05:51, 26 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I was a student at LACC in theater arts with Mike. My name is Frederick T. Garrett, along with fellow black acting students Ray Gibson, Adtison Terry and others we shared Mike's discovery by and success with Norman Lear. At the time the story was that Norman Lear, picked Mike up as he hiched down Farfax ave and ask him to audition for the part of Lionel Jefferson on the revolutionary new sit-com, All in the Family. Mike's success was inspiration to all of us black aspiring actors. It was an eciting time, blacks were really just breaking into TV and Mike proved we could be successful. This "Talk" page is a horribly revised and shortend piece on Mike Evans life. Nothing is mentioned about his long list of directorial, acting, producing, and writer-creator accomplishments outside of the 'sit-coms', plus the outright 'war' that he and Eric Monte had with that narcissistic, lying bastard, Norman Lear. in excising the two Black men from their legal, co-creating rights to "Good Times", and "All in the Family"!!! --38.121.237.88 (talk) 18:02, 25 November 2016 (UTC)VeryverserReply
