Publications section

edit

The Publications section is much too long and detailed. It should be pruned to the really significant ones. I suggest the main author selects up to five total, say, or deletes all of them and points to a fuller list elsewhere instead. At the moment this reads more like a CV rather than an encyclopaedic entry. — Jonathan Bowen (talk) 11:08, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I just pruned it and commented on the Deletion Thread. Could you take a look to see if this is sufficient and warrants removing the prune banner on that section, or suggest pruning further? Mik Kersten (talk) 17:15, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the Prune tag now that the list of publications has been limited to only the most significant. If further pruning is recommended, please comment. Telmocean (talk) 15:41, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Updates to reflect Mik Kersten's recent career and removing some outdated info

edit

Hi Wikipedia editors,

This is Rich Miller. I work with Mik Kersten as part of my role doing content for Planview, the company he is the CFO of. This Wikipedia article includes info about the early part of his career, but it is missing information about the last several years of his work. There is also some information that is out of date given that his company Tasktop became part of Planview.

To propose these updates, is the right process for me to use this Talk page to list the additions/changes? Or would you like me to use the Edit Source area to show those to you for review? Thanks for your help mapping out the right approach!

Hi Wikipedia editors,
I hope it's ok that I will go ahead and suggest the updates to Mik Kersten's page based on the notes he provided to me. Per my note above, I work with Mik as part of my role with Planview. And the article about him is missing info about the most recent years of his work. Plus there is outdated info that needs to be correct. I will use the "Edit Source" tab above to make these suggestions...but please let me know if you would like me to do this a different way. Thank you!
