Years of marriage vis a vis child birth year

edit

In the personal life section those two numbers don’t seem to stack up. Married for 8 years, from 1888 and daughter born in 1899. What’s missing? Pozdrav, DiscoverYellow (talk) 02:16, 2 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Treaty of London...

edit

I'm afraid this topic is poorly explained and tainted with the usual American exceptionalism.

The Treaty of London (not the 'Agreement') was signed by a number of European powers in 1915. Whether US President Wilson 'recognised' it or not is irrelevant. Nobody cared. Nor was Wilson in a position to render the Treaty 'invalid' as some other Wikipedia articles claim - in 1918, the US had neither mandate or authority to correct or adjust the Treaty affairs of other major global powers. What Wilson DID say was that the Treaty of London was inconsistent with the principles of "Self Determinaton", a principle that had been accepted by all the major powers at Versailles (Paris) in 1919. Consequently, the Treaty of London was renegotiated as the Treaty of Rapallo in which the territorial of Serbia were reduced somewhat from the terms of 'London'.

Despite Italian protests, 'Rapallo' was never enforced at all (and thus Serbia lost NO territory) because Great Britain and France refused to assist with the enforcement. This was nothing to do with Woodrow Wilson and certainly absolutely nothing to do with Pupin.

I can't be bothered to edit this article. Frankly, if a million Wikipedia editors removed American boosting, boasting and bragging from a million Wikipedia articles every day, Wikipedia would not get free of American historical revisionism within the lifetime of the Universe.... 86.149.115.179 (talk) 19:53, 8 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
