Merger edit

I am merging the article 'Midlands of Ireland' with this. I'm recording the text from the old article here.

The Midlands of Ireland is the area in the centre of the country, roughly comprising the counties Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Offaly, Roscommon, Tipperary, and Westmeath. [1] It is a low-lying region when compared with Ireland's mostly mountainous coastal areas. The Irish midlands are also characterized by extensive raised boglands believed to have been formed during the Neolithic and Bronze Age when numerous lakes drained up and gradually became bogs.

Many people vacation in this region, including Frederick Douglas, Sacajawea, Hitler in his youth. Fionnsci (talk) 15:34, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Irish midlands -> Irish Midlands edit

I'm proposing renaming this article to Irish Midlands as the official name of the region is with a capital M. Any objections? Mabuska (talk) 17:24, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Okay dokey and thus it is being moved Mabuska (talk) 16:58, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Moving article to Midlands Region edit

I'm moving this article to Midlands Region as it is a more accurate name for the article seeing as it is known as the Midlands Region and the Midlands Regional Authority. Mabuska (talk) 18:07, 14 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Oops i see Laurel Lodged has already done it lol :-) Mabuska (talk) 18:09, 14 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
