since it appeared to me that "modernism" was a typo in this sentence--surely modernism can't be accused of emphasizing emotional and sentimental connections rather than literary quality and innovation? It's possible, though, that I was misreading the sentence's intended meaning--its syntax is a bit obscure, even with my revision. 206.208.105.129 (talk) 14:43, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
