Request for unconnected editors
editOne or more unbiased editors familiar with this company are needed. The current article seems to have been largely created by representatives of the bank. MidFirst is a notable regional bank, but Wikipedia is not for promotion. I might remove some of the more obvious puffery if I have time (but not really sure I want to tackle right now).--GeoGreg (talk) 15:39, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
I removed a significant amount of uncited claims, puffery, and promotional statements. I left only cited claims and placed a few citation needed tags. Still needs work but is better than it was. It's less promotional than it was. A. Z. Colvin • Talk 00:53, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Advertising
editThis article reads exactly like the banks website. Filled with puffery and editing performed likely by a paid representative of the bank, further using dubious and not notable sources. Needs to be protected from puffery/advertisement vandalism. Signed HBass881 (talk) 00:04, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
All or nearly all of the last editors
editSeem to have only edited this article for puff, oddly enough the company itself was permitted to edit and frequently did until recently. However most concerning is the fact almost all unverified editors and even verified only contribute to this wiki. On further inspection the ip edits eminate from "identical locations" not shocking given that the only page they work on and promote is this one. I think this should be protected and safeguarded from the advertising this wiki seems to be. There are comp listed on major stock indexes that still have no wiki but this small bank does? Odd.

"The bank offers a full range of commercial, trust, private banking and mortgage banking products, and it serves as a commercial real estate lender and major servicer of mortgage loans nationally. " Wow if this isn't corporate buzz speak I'm at a loss for what is.... KansasC785 (talk) 00:11, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- I'm actually OK with that sentence as it describes what services the institution offers since not all financial institutions offer the same products. Through some slight rewording:
"MidFirst provides commercial, trust, private banking and mortgage banking products, while also serving as a commercial real estate lender and national servicer of mortgage loans."
