Confusing Photo?

edit

The photo in this article is confusing because it doesn't give context or scale. As is, it looks like a polished piece of eclogite. Can anyone figure out a better photo for this article?

An attempt at humor?

edit

"Biddulph Grange is very rich with microclimates as a result of the large dips and variety of very large trees alongside a large amount of water."

This article focuses on microclimates within "cities and regions," not on the shady places under the trees within a mere 15 acre (c. 6 hectare) Victorian park (United Kingdom). Could this have been an attempt at humor, rather than a valid edit? Aronro (talk) 05:53, 12 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

"The term may refer to areas as small as a few square feet (for example a garden bed) or as large as many square miles." Kortoso (talk) 17:29, 2 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

This may be a an attempt to humor because micro climate usually refers to an area of a country or less but not at least a few square meters so this can not be taken as a valid edit rather than a code of humor.

An edit

edit

See this edit; I agree the article needs work but large-scale changes should be discussed on the talk page if you're not sure about wiki-markup and the conventions of Wikipedia. Have a look at Wikipedia:Welcoming committee/Welcome to Wikipedia for more information when/if you decide to come back. Graham87 02:33, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ya it's necessary to be discussed here but this large scale change is more or less to the point so cease this topic. Samyajit Poddar (talk) 07:02, 18 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Too many "Me Too"s

edit

I'm sure we all want to comment on our own local microclimates, but please try to hunt up some attribution to go with your contributions. Kortoso (talk) 17:28, 2 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

citations needed for calling these areas microclimates

edit

I've tagged all the assertions of microclimate that either didn't have any source at all or only had sources to weather statistics, which aren't enough to support the assertion an area is a "microclimate." We need someone calling these places microclimates in order to include them here. --valereee (talk) 13:18, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
