The subject of this article, Micky Groome, has been a key player in commercially successful bands in the UK since 1971. The band Ducks Deluxe, for whom he played bass guitar, are considered a significant band in the New Wave/Pub Rock period, alongside Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello. His current band, The Barron Knights have achieved many UK chart hits in their long history, and are constantly touring Australia & New Zealand (31 tours), South Africa (4 tours) and the UK (continuous) to large audiences, and have the distinction of being the only band to have toured with both The Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

I have declined the speedy deletion, but to survive in the long run this will need some actual reliable sources to verify it's claims. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:14, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Groome is listed on the home page of the Barron Knights website as "Mick Groome - bass guitar". The photo on the page also clearly shows him playing a Hofner 500/1 bass. I've made a few edits that reflect the info.Twistlethrop (talk) 23:08, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
