Please source, even if aired edit

With regard to some of the back-and-forth between Dcbanners and Carniolus today, I just wanted to chime in that I believe in the inclusion of sources even for things that have already aired. Why users remove sources simply because something has aired, is a behavior I will never understand. I don't know if that comes from Wikia or something, but a lot of the off-the-radar editors tend to do that a lot and it's irritating. One of the things we have to do as editors is continuously vet content because pernicious editors often come by to muck them up. Having sources helps immensely in that process, instead of requiring wikignomes to seek out sources every time someone changes an airdate. It's better to just add a general reference to be used for episodes and air dates rather than having a million references. See Regular Show (season 6) for example. Dcbanners (talk) 22:05, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I don't know that it's "better". Some people prefer that. I don't have a problem with seeing a reference after each airdate. That said, I'm not opposed to a general reference as long as there is a reference that covers all the content. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:00, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Look at Regular Show (season 6). A reference is put in the "Original air date", which includes "all" content such as episodes and air dates. Dcbanners (talk) 23:11, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, you said that above. I understand the point you're making and I'm not materially in disagreement. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:31, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I don't find general references reliable. In this case, Zap2it lists only 17 episodes for the first season, missing the episode #14 "Sleepwalkin". In season 2, episode numbers don't match the release order, and there is an extra episode #10, which seems to be a mash of three previously released episodes. On the other hand, individual sources contain additional information about the episodes (beside air dates), and help to establish the notability of the series.--Carniolus (talk) 22:12, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
There are discrepancies from site to site, that's for sure. I don't find general references useful for series that are airing new episodes, because editors trying to prevent vandalism would be required to know that there is a general reference in the column, and then verify what appears to be unsourced content based on that, as opposed to the references being added at the time the content is being added. List of characters edit

In these edits a well-meaning IPv6 editor added character lists for the various episodes. I have removed them because they do not belong here. A well-written plot synopsis (which per WP:TVPLOT should be 100-200 words) would contain information about the most important characters anyway without requiring a list. The content also doesn't belong in the plot section either. Lastly, there isn't much precedent for this, and certainly no consensus for its inclusion. Additional voices edit

Is Alan Young, Corey Burton and all those other voice actors important for the cast list, because they voiced those characters on the show too. Instead of putting those edits back and undoing them, I want to ask that here just to make sure. FrozenFan2 (talk) 14:22, 14 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Can you be more specific? It's unclear what you are asking. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:41, 14 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Well, I was talking about Additional voices, there are some other and more voice actors that provided voices in the show too. FrozenFan2 (talk) 21:13, 14 May 2015 (UTC) I think this must have be a stupid question for me to ask about in the first place. FrozenFan2 (talk) 21:14, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Never mine, this must be a stupid question for me to ask in the first place. FrozenFan2 (talk) 23:45, 10 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Well, you've said that twice so far. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:25, 11 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your right, I did say it twice. But there were more actor that worked on the show as well, that's why I was I was adding them in the article, but I can leave it the way is for now on.

Request episode list page edit

The episode list is getting awfully long, so I think it is more than entitled to a "List of Mickey Mouse (TV series) episodes" page. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 11:51, 5 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

I don't really agree with the naming of the page. "Disney" or "Disney's" could apply to any Disney Channel program, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a part of the title. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 14:34, 21 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Nowadays, the company routinely prepends "Disney" to the logo of children's material that it produces and distributes under that brand, but it usually isn't treated as part of the title. It's true that the episodes are registered with the United States Copyright Office as "DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE", but this has no bearing on common usage. (Copyright records exist for legal purposes and often contain wording/formatting inconsistent with that appearing in marketing materials and familiar to the general public.) —David Levy 04:56, 24 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

This page needs protection edit

This page is a constant target for vandalism. We need to only make it open to people who are confirmed users of this website. - Jasonbres (talk) 19:37, 9 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Jasonbres, all requests for page protection should go through WP:RFPP. That said, I have protected the article for a month. When you do request page protection in the future, it would be helpful if you'd explain the scope of the problem a little more clearly. "Article has been received persistent disruption from numerous unrelated IP editors over the span of a month." Something like that. That'll give the admin something to sink their teeth into. Final season? edit

Where is the source that this show is over and done with? And don't just jump to conclusions just because no new episodes have aired in months because that's considered original research. - Jasonbres (talk) 20:55, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jasonbres, re these reversions of yours, yes, you are correct that statements describing the series as over with, need to be sourced. "Third and final" is dicey anyway because even if it has been cancelled, who's to say that the series couldn't come back? TV series have been brought back from the dead before. "Final" attempts to predict the future. WP:CRYSTAL Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:24, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
