The phrase 'Jones has become an occasional producer' implies this is a recent thing whereas Jones has been producing albums since at least 1982, namely 'Westworld' by Theatre of Hate. 86.29.85.68 16:51, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Thatcher didn't become PM until 1979, so I'm struggling to see how his childhood struggles (late 60s/early 70s) can be put down to "Thatcherite Policies".

Jewish

Is he Jewish? Anyone got some reference?

here and outed as Jewish in Guy Oseary’s 2000 tome "Jews Who Rock" to be fair, he might be claimed as jewish as his mum is a jew. not sure if that makes HIM jewish. It does make him Jewish. MANAGER OF THE BAND THE DEAD MILKMEN??????

Approximately 1990 or so I saw the Dead Milkmen in SF, and their lead singer was so drunk, Mick came out and sang a whole bunch of Clash songs with them backing him. Move from Mick Jones (The Clash) to Mick Jones (Singer, born 1955)

Personally, I don't like it. Yes there are various Mick Jones's, and they play guitar and sing. Very few people when looking for this one will know when any of them were born. The one thing that recognizably identifies this Mick Jones, and the main cause of his notability, is his membership of The Clash, regardless of his subsequent career. And, while he did sing, and compose, his prime function was lead guitarist. I say it wasn't broke, why fix it? Wwwhatsup (talk) 07:34, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Me neither. Despite being a lifelong follower of rock music, neither 'singer' nor 'born 1955' would lead me to this Mick Jones. The band connection certainly does, even 'rock guitarist' might be better than what we now have. Under what part of 'Wikipedia naming conventions' do you have to put up with a styling that does not easily identify someone ?!

If you want to know the real reason, it’s because (a) the guy from Foreigner also was a guitarist and (b) comparatively few people have heard of Big Audio Dynamite. • Although the current title might be less than ideal, it's better than the proposed title per User:Cobaltcigs's comment above. Contradiction

In the infobox, it says that Jones' middle name is Geoffrey, but in the lead, it says his middle name is Lewis. Which one is it? Somebody please respond so I or somebody else can fix it. --BLAguyMONKEY! (talk) 11:46, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

New info on Mick Jones

I am reading Viv Albertine's memoir called "Clothes, Clothes, Clothes, Music, Music, Music, Boys, Boys, Boys". It is wonderful. Many details missing from the article are in the book. The "squat" discussed in the beginning of the article is Viv's squat and she allowed the guys to start up the band there. Mick's children and wife

I was reading on a page that interviewed some 'Rock star kids'. It had 2 of Mick Jones's children who were called 'Ava Sarah Jones' and 'Stella Katherine Jones'. Their mother is Miranda Davis who is a film producer.

Richard Archer

"Friendship with Richard Archer" is not a "project" and any collaboration between the two is too slight to belong in the "Recent Projects." It seems Mick Jones produced a few tracks for Richard Archer's band Contempo (about 20 years ago), but there is a whole section for Jones' production work and I don't think this is notable enough to even include there. Mick was apparently a fan of Archer's later group, Hard-Fi (but this is not a project or particularly notable) and played with them live on two songs at an award show and perhaps a handful of other times. Obviously they were friends but I don't think that is notable. I expect they each have some friends. Honestly, including it here seems like a crass attempt to boost Richard Archer's bona fides.
