Delete Article
editI have proposed that this person (primarily a blogger, it appears) lacks notability, that the text relies on links to primary sources and is linked to by only a small number of consequential pages Billsmith60 (talk) 15:58, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Tend to agree the article's time may be up. I had a look for secondary sources 6 years ago and couldn't find much. I was going to oppose the PROD and suggest AfD instead, for an article that has been around for so long. But I notice all the claims for notability are repeated for the 'Slugger O'Toole' article - which largely is the winner of the 'awards' - so an alternative would be to redirect Mick Fealty to Slugger O'Toole. If that gets reverted, take it to AfD. Sionk (talk) 20:51, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- From a procedural point-of-view, the PROD and AfD tags have been somewhat flawed (an AfD with no discussion, a PROD when the incomplete AfD/speedy tags were already removed, etc). From a content and notability point-of-view, the content does seem to largely mirror the Slugger O'Toole article, and the subject's notability seems inextricably linked to the website they created. Personally, per Sionk's suggestion, I think a merge/redirect is probably the most appropriate thing to do here. Guliolopez (talk) 11:07, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Your two comments seem to lead to a very reasonable way forward, if that can be done? Thanks to you both Billsmith60 (talk) 12:19, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and blanked and redirected the page to Slugger O'Toole. There wasn't any sourced biographical content that could be merged. Sionk (talk) 21:49, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
