Untitled edit

I have reverted edits made to the Michael DeSisto article. The edits in question were made with a word processor that removed all wikipedia internal links, as well as, all the embedded external links. The front piece picture of the People Magazine article, and the reference to Time magazine were deleted. I have restored them. The People Magazine article, is historically important to Michael DeSisto's biography. Its removal was unnecessary. I have also restored the section about Michael DeSisto's book 'Decoding your teenager: How to understand each other during the turbulent years' and the link to a professional book review of the same. Information relating to the circumstances of DeSisto's master's degree has been restored. The master's degree incident ,as well as, DeSisto's own explanation are related to the publication his book, and is worthy of inclusion in the article. DeSisto's early education, post-secondary schooling, and history as a seminarian have been restored; there is no reason to delete this especially for an educator. I have deleted all external links other than the obituary. They consisted mostly of links about the DeSisto School shortly before and after its closure. Those links would be better placed in the links section of The DeSisto School article. There is some controversy over the events surrounding DeSisto's death. In absence of an official coroner's report, it is improper to say whether the cerebral hemorrhage he suffered was, or was not a complication of the renal transplant surgery he underwent. I have removed the reference to the date of his death November 1 as all saints day, for it is not germane to the article. Wlmg 17:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Updates to the Biography of Michael Albert DeSisto edit

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I would like to propose changes to the personal life and career section of Michael Albert DeSisto’s biography. With that being said, I propose the following updates:

1. Update to Personal Life: Brother Joey DeSisto has been deceased for years

2. Multiple Updates to the Careers section as follows:

Remove: “unlicensed therapist” as his staff were the therapists— he was the Founder and Director.

Update: In 1991, DeSisto authored his book: Decoding Your Teenager (How to understand each other during the turbulent years) [Removal of the word “only” book, I don’t this it’s necessary, and I believe there was a lot of negative press at that time around School politics]

Remove: section based on citation #13 (dead citation)

Remove: section based on citation #20 (dead citation)

Please review my edit and let me know your thoughts. Celizabeth3588 (talk) 14:06, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • The Education Week article states ...and was fired in a disagreement with its board of directors...
  • The school was heavily involved in therapy of both students and faculty. DeSisto set the policy for and was leading the group of therapists, yet DeSisto was not licensed. Seems rather pertinent. It should stay.
  • That content and its source have been there for years, in some cases 10 years, is strong evidence for the source supporting the content. See its page history. That it is now 404 is not justification for removal of the content. See WP:link rot.
  • Please check https://www.archive.org for an RS copy. Use 404 URL, then key words.
  • If no archive found, add the wp:template {{Dead link|date= November 2021}}
  • Citation [13] now has an archive-url link - content wp:verifiable
  • Citation [20] now has an archive-url link - content verifiable
