Knighthood edit

I'm adding material, but as I can't find any source for the statement that Cardew was to be knighted, I've tagged it. Marshall46 (talk) 22:32, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Harrod's biography edit

Tanya Harrod has written a definitive biography. This article could do with someone who has read it. Pelarmian (talk) 09:33, 29 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Honours edit

Some confusion. Galerie Besson http://www.galeriebesson.co.uk/cardew.html say "He was awarded the CBE in 1964, the MBE in 1965 and the OBE in 1981." Impossible, as CBE is the highest honour of the three. We need a good source. Pelarmian (talk) 11:28, 30 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Found: CBE, 1981, SUPPLEMENT TO THE LONDON GAZETTE, 13TH JUNE 1981, B8 https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/48639/supplement/8 Pelarmian (talk) 11:40, 30 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the reference to his impending knighthood. The sole source is the Wenford Bridge website, which is too close to the subject to be accepted as reliable without corroboration. Pelarmian (talk) 10:45, 31 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
I found a better reference here https://asuartmuseum.asu.edu/sites/default/files/cardew_michael_biography.pdf It doesn't appear to be a mirror site. Theroadislong (talk) 14:48, 31 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
