I removed the note "Earl Watson is to play for Mexico in the 2010 FIBA World Championship." since Mexico did not qualify for the event.

It should be mentioned that the Mexican national basketball team also has the following international competition accolades:

- A Silver medal at the 1967 Pan Am Games. Mexico finished second only to Team USA. Link: http://www.usabasketball.com/news.php?news_page=mpag_1967

- A Bronze medal at the 1983 Pan Am Games. This competition was memorable for Mexico taking a 20-4 lead against a Team USA squadron that featured Michael Jordan, Chris Mullin, Sam Perkins, Michael Cage, Ed Pinckney, Mark Price, and Wayman Tisdale. Team USA later came back for a 9 point win: 78-65. Mexico finished third after Team USA and Brazil. Link: http://www.usabasketball.com/news.php?news_page=mpag_1983

- A Silver medal at the 1991 Pan Am Games. Mexico finished ahead of a Team USA squadron that featured Grant Hill, Christian Laettner, Thomas Hill, Walt Williams, Clarence Weatherspoon, Tracey Murray, Jimmy Jackson, Terry Dehere, Adam Keefe, Eric Montross, and Tony Bennett. Gold = Puerto Rico, Silver = Mexico, Bronze = USA. Link: http://www.usabasketball.com/news.php?news_page=mpag_1991
