Including given details from Retro Studios into the article? edit

Should we include the given details from Retro?

If so we all have to agree on this (obviously).

Retro said the game will be "dark", "emotional", and more story driven. Should we include that fact in the article or no? GeekFreak98 (talk) 15:51, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

GeekFreak98, sure, if there is a reliable source where Retro says those things it can be added. Popcornfud (talk) 16:05, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Alright, I got the link where should I put the new information in? GeekFreak98 (talk) 18:25, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

GeekFreak98, What's the link? When I googled this I couldn't find a reliable source for it. Popcornfud (talk) 18:43, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Here's the link, is it legit?

That is a reliable source per WP:VGSOURCES, though it's not a huge amount of information and not critical for the article imo. I've added it to see how it looks. Popcornfud (talk) 18:54, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Cool, Let's see! GeekFreak98 (talk) 18:58, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

It looks good! Later I'll look for more sites for us to add in this article. GeekFreak98 (talk) 19:01, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

More images supporting article edit

I know it's early to do this, especially when the game is still getting worked on and getting delayed, twice! But can we add some images.

Like for example, can we add an image of the "Metroid Prime 4 Development Update" when Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo's Senior Managing Executive Officer, discussing the game ? GeekFreak98 (talk) 15:06, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

GeekFreak98, we can add images if Wikipedia has the legal freedom to use them, but that's tricky and easy to go wrong with. Images without copyright rationales will be quickly removed. Popcornfud (talk) 15:15, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Metroid Prime 4 hire updates edit

Should we include them in? If you ask me, I'm in between, the links I'll send you are from Video Game Chronicles.

Here are the links: https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/retro-studios-has-hired-the-director-of-warhawk-as-its-development-head/

https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/metroid-prime-4-studio-retro-has-hired-a-call-of-duty-black-ops-veteran/

https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/retro-studios-hires-battlefield-and-star-wars-artist-as-vfx-lead/

Metorid Prime 4 is gonna be sweet, but the hires seem too good to be true! GeekFreak98 (talk) 18:44, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Infobox edit

Is there anything else we could add in the infobox, Do we have info on who will compose the game for example?

(FYI: Yes, it is very likely that the game will be fps, but we're not adding it in yet; Also the release date will remain TBA, not 2021, 2022, or 2023) — Preceding unsigned comment added by GeekFreak98 (talkcontribs) 13:02, 11 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

If it's not discoverable with a quick Google, the information probably isn't available yet.
As an aside, with your recent edits and discussions, I think you might be jumping the gun a bit. There really isn't that much to say about this game yet, and not that much information. It will all be expanded in time, trust me... you won't be able to stop the tidal wave of eager video game editors adding it. Popcornfud (talk) 13:55, 11 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, your right. I have been going a bit overboard lately with this article. We'll wait for more information, for now I'll keep an eye on this article. Don't want it to be vandalized. GeekFreak98 (talk) 16:07, 11 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Article Vadalism edit

This article has been vandalized a lot, can we do something about it? Can we at least do a "{{pp=small}}"

You know that, to reduce potential vandalism of the article?

I was taking a break from Wikipedia and when I came back for at least 3 days, this happens. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GeekFreak98 (talkcontribs) 21:06, 17 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Development continuation edit

During the announcement of Metroid Dread in the Nintendo Direct at E3 2021, one of the hosts of the Direct stated that development on this game was "going smoothly". I am sure there are no sources that support this, but how could we update the Development section? 99.209.40.250 (talk) 16:41, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is based on sources. So we need to find the sources to support any changes we make. Popcornfud (talk) 17:08, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
