Confusion between Metro Manila Film Festival and Manila Film Festival edit

The Manila Film Festival, known for the 1994 awards scandal, is greatly different from the MMFF. The Manila Film Festival was started in 1993 through the efforts of Manila City Government. This was used to be an annual film fest that should be shown in cinemas in Manila only from June 12 to 24, the day of the city of Manila. The highly-acclaimed film,"Dahil Mahal Kita: The Dolzura Cortez Story" was the first best picture award of the event in 1993. This event happened in 1993 and 1994 only, and continued in 1997, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Since 2004, no event was held due to the focal importance of the Metro Manila Film Festival. 112.200.206.10 (talk) 09:00, 16 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Metro Manila Film Festival edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Metro Manila Film Festival's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Newspaper":

  • From 1986 Metro Manila Film Festival: The Times Journal. "Controversy Rocks film festival". December 29, 1986. Newspaper Print.
  • From 1992 Metro Manila Film Festival: Salterio-Gatdula, Leah. "A night for first-time winners in the MMFF '92 'Gabi ng Parangal'". Philippine Daily Inquirer. December 30, 1992. Newspaper Print.
  • From 1988 Metro Manila Film Festival: Jimenez-Magsanoc, Letty. "Austria, Marro win top honors in Metro filmfest". Philippines Daily Inquirer. December 28, 1988. Newspaper Print.
  • From 1990 Metro Manila Film Festival: De Guzman, Susan. "'Andrea', tops filmfest awards". Lifestyle: Living Culture, and Entertainment. December 29, 1990. Newspaper Print.
  • From 1994 Metro Manila Film Festival: Lo, Ricky. "Metro Filmfest: No switching this time, but where are the awards?". The Philippine Star. December 29, 1994. Newspaper Print.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 21:36, 20 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
