The old viral video edit

I remember that video referred to in the article and it was on other sites earlier than 2009. The video that the article is linking from 2009 (the link is now dead) is just some later YouTube re-upload and does not represent when it first appeared online.

To give additional info as to it's original date, I'm currently looking at a forum post I made on 1st of August, 2006 where I posted a link to it on a well-known video site of the time, fugly.com.

Current alive link (does not indicate upload date): https://www.fugly.com/videos/5823/merry_go_round_of_death.html

Same page archived in 2007, when the site layout did reflect an upload date of 07-27-2006: https://web.archive.org/web/20070707120840/https://www.fugly.com/videos/5823/merry_go_round_of_death.html

So I think the article should be updated to reflect the earlier date.

Additionally, I am a bit unsure if it was already an Internet challenge at the time, or if it's this video that later would give rise to a challenge?
