The 3rd and 4th cataracts are marked on the map of the Sudan in major atlases. The bend is conspicuous. The new descriptions side step the age of Merowe and the fact that it is also a site of archeological interest. Michael P. Barnett (talk) 16:57, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
