Talk:Mercedes-Benz MB700

Great article, nonetheless some remarks:

  • width of 1197mm cannot be correct
  • height of 1773mm for the bus chassis is misleading, this should be the upper side of the dash, the steering wheel or he driver's seat.
  • Acc. to the text the MB800 has a total weight of 8.3 tons and a payload of 5 tons, giving 3.3 tons kerb weight. These numbers appear to be plausible. A kerb weight of 2.3 tons may be correct for the MB500 (I suspect its 5t gross) but way to light for a 7 or 8 tons truck with a payload of 4 - 5 tons payload.
  • Comparing tecnic the Accelo is pretty similiar to the MB800, but comparing markets it is the Fuso Canter. To my knowledge the Accelo is made in Brazil only, sold in South America only, while the MB800 had not made its way there. I dont have an indication the Accelo is sold in Africa or Asia, while the Canter does. But, in 2000 Daimler (DCX in those days) obtained a strong stake in Mitsubishi. Due to multile scandals in Mitsubishi this was short lived, but Mitsubishi truck operations (Fuso (company)) are still part of Daimler trucks. From my standpoint the Fuso Canter is the true successor. --Wolle1303 (talk) 21:56, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
