Moving this page to Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class

edit

I am moving this page to Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class since this is the new name of this class. UpsandDowns1234 18:43, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

It seems this has been reverted for no good reason. Mercedes-Benz refers to this car as GLS, therefore so should Wikipedia. Atald 14:38 Jun 09, 2017 (UTC)

General chitchat

Everything I've researched indicates the GL started in 2007 not 2006 as mentioned here — Preceding unsigned comment added by Msullivan10 (talkcontribs) 03:11, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Seems more like an larger and more luxuous version of the M-Class than a replacement for the G-Class.Hektor 22:50, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

It's not meant to replace the G-Klasse. The G-Klasse is still in production for the foreseeable future. The GL goes between the M and the G.(Myscrnnm (talk) 05:01, 7 February 2008 (UTC))Reply

I'm not sure its a "crossover" as such?

It's a crossover like the full size Buick Enclave/Chevrolet Traverse/GMC Acadia. 69.65.224.246 (talk) 14:38, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is a crossover SUV. And unique in its class as the only full size luxury crossover. All others (Lexus LX 570, Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade) are true SUV's.Zman4000 (talk)
Also numerous respected websites refer to it as a crossover SUV.Zman4000 (talk)

Wasn't this supposed to replace the G class

edit

I remember at one time reading a article about the GL class it said that The new GL Class will replace the G Class but I am not sure why it never happened Cvxs (talk) 15:15, 6 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Mercedes-Benz GL-ClassMercedes-Benz GLS-Class –This is the correct name of the model; calling it GL-class would now be incorrect. Aasim 21:58, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Relisting. Mdaniels5757 (talk) 22:14, 30 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
