Jeep Applications

edit

The 2006 Transtar manual and the 2009 Phoenix manual lists W5A580 for all Commander. However the 2008 Transtar book lists it for V6 only, and the 545RFE for all V8 applications.

They all however agree that the W5A580 is used on 2005+ Grand Cherokee Diesel, 3.7 V6, and HEMI. I have undone my revision for now, but can we verify these for sure??? Sixthstar (talk) 05:19, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I work on these for a living at a Chrysler dealer. You are partially right, diesels use the NAG as well as SRT8 6.1L HEMI's. 5.7L's use the RFE trans. TBird100636 (talk) 07:05, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Updated ratios and cited service manual

edit

I updated the ratio numbers with what's reflected in the official service manual and included the information on the W5A330 as well.

W124 5G-tronic

edit

My edit on W124 was removed, why? When I read old pricelists I see that a 5 speed geatbox was an option (over 4spd auto) on 300E-24, E280 and E320. I also see these for sale sometimes. Joakim Quensel (talk) 05:09, 10 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Joakim,
there are two 5-speed gearboxes offered by Mercedes-Benz with a totally different layout.
(1) The first one (from 1990) was based on the 4G-Tronic where now you can find everything about it (see predecessor).
(2) The second one (from 1996) is described here.
Cheers
