That's a wiki, isn't it? How does it pass WP:RS? --Orange Mike | Talk 04:52, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

PACT, not ACT

edit

The Mendota community treatment program is called PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment) not ACT. It is very clearly termed that on their website. [1] [2]. Please stop erroneously changing the article because you confuse the term for a treatment modality (ACT) with the term for the specific program operated by Mendota (PACT). 32.218.46.21 (talk) 01:59, 22 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure you understand that it is a wikilink to an article, the text of the article still says "Program of Assertive Community Treatment". I don't know why you are freaking out about a wikilink to a page that explains what you just said. None of this would even be in this article in the first place if I hadn't spent the last week adding it here. You may not have noticed, but the source that is linked, http://ps.psychiatryonline.org/article.aspx?articleid=84556 does not say the words ""Program of Assertive Community Treatment." Did that program exist in 1974 when the award was given? --Dual Freq (talk) 02:10, 22 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm not freaking out about anything. I'm simply trying to make the article as accurate as possible. And the program at Mendota is called PACT, not ACT. Did you notice on the Mendota website (link above) what it says about that award? "In 1974 Mendota received the American Psychiatric Association Golden Achievement Award for Community Mental Health Programs for the PACT Program." I don't know why you're freaking out about someone trying to improve the article. 32.218.46.21 (talk) 02:27, 22 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

So you think it's beneficial to the reader to link a 4 sentence stub instead of a fairly decent article? I still don't understand how saying Program of Assertive community treatment or Program of Assertive Community Treatment confuses the terms or treatment. It still says PACT in the article, no one is changing that. There is no no content in the stub Program of Assertive Community Treatment. The reader is not going to gain much by clicking that link, but they might benefit by going to the larger article. --Dual Freq (talk) 01:10, 24 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

As I already said, I'll be fleshing out the PACT article substantially, and revising the ACT article to show the relationship between PACT and ACT. They are certainly not synonymous, as your revisions would suggest. Have a little patience. 32.218.34.41 (talk) 23:37, 25 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
Saying "Program of Assertive community treatment" and "Program of Assertive community treatment" does not change the meaning of that sentence, it just points the reader to a useful article on the topic rather than a stub. --Dual Freq (talk) 01:53, 26 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
