Notability edit

TheRedPenOfDoom, given that three separate people have undone your redirect, I think it's worth having a discussion on notability rather than a unilateral wipe out. While I agree as-is the article isn't great, I would say that it is at least borderline notable, and is of comparable notability to many articles of it's type. In addition to the source provided, a quick search on google scholar for '"Memories of Ice" Erikson' returns at least two theses which reference the book which, which I believe passes the guidelines.

If you still believe the article to be not notable enough, perhaps use the notability tag so a discussion can occur, and allow someone else who agrees with you to make the redirect. Raptor45 (talk) 02:23, 7 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

given that three people restored the article but were apparently all incapable of actually presenting actual reliable sources that discussed the subject in a significant manner actually strengthens my belief that it is non notable and better covered in the bloated and minimally sourced series article. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 03:03, 7 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have already provided two additional sources to support notability of this book, fuffiling the letter of the notability rule you take issue with.
Secondly, the article is in keeping with the spirit of the rule, as with most other book series of note, where information about the individual books is relevant to understanding the series but would be too long to be included on the series' page.
Finally, as you have been unable to obtain a consensus for your idea that this page is invalid, edit warring with multiple other contributors is not being contructive. Following the guide for redirects, you should be marking the articles for deletion for discussion, to quote, "If editors cannot agree the article should be submitted to Articles for Deletion." Copyright edit

It appears likely to me that http://nyanglish.com copied content from Wikipedia, rather than the other way around. I will leave the copyright tag in place to see if anyone else concurs. Raptor45 (talk) 14:19, 7 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I actually wrote the original version of the plot summary that's here for Wikipedia. The other site copied it from here. Blalthazar (talk) 01:36, 24 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Well, since you confirmed that, I've removed the 'copypaste' tag from the article. Ciridae (talk) 07:29, 28 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
