In case you were wondering about the [citation needed] on the origin of the name,

According to Luke Gygax the name was because it rhymed with "Elf" and was fun to say, not because it said "Male Elf" on his sheet: http://www.garycon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5467#p5467, which of course suggests the citation is needed for a good reason--as it is wrong. 128.4.231.172 (talk) 22:43, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Another spell by Melf

I recall reading (I think in Dragon, or maybe Dungeon magazine) that there was also "Melf's Rancid Arrow", a joke spell to be sure, but a spell by Melf none the less. MarkSmith1313 (talk) 08:01, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

I believe MarkSmith1313 was thinking of the joke spell called "Pelf's Rancid Arrow" from Dragon #204 (the April 1994 issue). Algolei (talk) 05:02, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
